In 1997, the Masonry Institute of Iowa presented the Golden Trowel
Award to Forrest & Associate for its work on the Oskaloosa
Library, and in 1998, the Coveted Golden Trowel Award was again
awarded to Forrest & Associate for its work on the Third
Reformed Church in Pella, Iowa. The company has also been awarded
the National Excellence in Masonry Award for the Kirke-Van Orsdale
Headquarters in West Des Moines and for St. Francis of Assisi
Church in Des Moines which also was awarded first place by the
Nebraska Masonry Institute. Forrest & Associate received two
craftsman awards, one in 1997 and one in 1998 from the
Construction Specification Institute. This masonry contractor's
excellence has also been recognized on a National level with the
1997 Tucker Award, which is given by Building Stone Institute in
New York City.
