Iowa’s Trusted Masonry Construction & Restoration Contractor for More than 60 Years

Masonry is the most versatile building material available – and the most challenging. That intriguing combination drew Dick Felice into the masonry business more than 60 years ago.

After graduating from high school, Dick partnered with his friend, Dale Forrest, to launch their own masonry firm in 1960. The company began with 10 employees, with Dick serving as Forrest & Associate’s President & CEO.

Dick purchased Dale’s stock in 1993, and the company continued to flourish. In 2021, he decided to step back from company ownership and sold the business to three longtime employees: Rob VanHeesyk, Anthony Sergio, and Jon Merk. They continue to hold to the high standards that Dick and Dale provided for more than 60 years.

Over the years, Forrest & Associate has grown in size and reputation, becoming one of the most knowledgeable and experienced masonry contracting firms in Des Moines.

Today, Team Forrest uses a variety of masonry materials like block, brick, limestone, granite, marble, tile, and terra cotta to construct commercial, industrial, educational, and residential buildings across the state of Iowa. Through our quality craftsmanship and superior expertise, our team has played a significant role in aiding the beautification and growth programs of cities across the state of Iowa.
